Lessons
Currently teaching beginner to advanced players at two (2) locations:
NORTH - Private studio @ Secret Studios (2200 Cesar Chavez) in San Francisco.
SOUTH - Sylvan Music, located on the corner of Mission and Bay streets in Santa Cruz. I am the advanced instructor on the Teachers List there.
Two fields of study:
1- Comprehensive Bass Instruction
All styles, technique, theory, reading and rhythm.
2- Beginning to Intermediate Rhythm and Latin Percussion, Polyrhytmic studies, Latin beats.
All lessons include theory hand-outs and play-along exercises. A laptop is provided for beat analysis and CD/mp3 playback. Rate = $40/hour.
As an educator I am dedicated to the traditions of afro-caribbean and folkloric Puerto-Rican music.
